Event Details:

Guided sugar bush tour, experiencing Canada's history in maple syrup production. Enjoy the sights, smells, and tastes of this sweet season!
Enjoy the last of winter and beginnings of spring with the age old tradition of making maple syrup. Learn the earliest known sugaring techniques of Canada's first people, with the heating of hot rocks in a fire and transferring them into a sap filled, hollowed out log. Try your hand at the bow and arrow target shoot! As you continue down the sugar bush trail, you will enter the pioneer camp, and experience the progression of using cast iron pots over a fire. Grab a partner and see how easy, or not so easy, it is to use a cross cut saw. Learn about the fur trade industry and how commerce started in Canada, at our trading post. Lastly, experience modern day maple syrup production, as you see how we collect our sap using a closed line and vacuum system. Watch the maple sap boiling in the evaporator, and you might be lucky to view a "draw off" of syrup while you visit. And of course you may browse and purchase our many delicious maple products available in our on-farm maple store.

Start or finish your day tasting our delicious maple syrup over homemade pancakes, and other delicious items on our menu including but not limited to Maple Butter Tarts and Maple Milkshake! You may purchase menu items at our take-out counter and enjoy it on our outdoor patio. **NOT included with admission - individually priced.**

***In the event of inclement weather or unsafe conditions to be in the bush, or unforeseen reasons out of our control, we reserve the right to cancel a sugar bush tour by contacting you directly by email and phone. The Maple Store will remain open if this would happen, the tour only would be cancelled.***
